The Cactus Flower Boutique is a locally owned and operated business located in Magnolia, Texas. The boutique has been in business since 2013. The owner, Trisha Plagens, had decided it was time to get back to work after her youngest began kindergarten. Shifting gears from a Corporate CPA to an entrepreneur, she decided to dabble in one of her other interests, fashion. She believes that fashion provides a way to express yourself and can bring confidence and self-pride in women. Along the way, she has realized that one of her favorite aspects of owning a small business is providing flexible job opportunities to local women. Furthermore, the gratitude and loyalty of her customers has proven that the services and products she provides to her community were much needed. After five years, she has decided to expand online to offer her unique variety of selections to a broader audience and to create more job opportunities to loyal employees.

We had to learn how to adapt quickly to survive Covid and our ever-changing world we live in today. With our website and social media presence, it requires more innovation and work to compete with the strong presence of online stores. We have learned how to combat this with carefully curated collections that meet all of our customers’ needs and desires, and by offering genuine customer service.

We have a wonderful crew of ladies that are always ready to help! We offer an array of fashion options for teens to mature women. We offer a wide variety of price points to fit any budget. We carry a huge selection of shoes, jewelry, handbags, and other accessories. We offer beautiful home décor and great seasonal home goods. We offer gifts for all ages. We have a full room devoted to baby, toddler and tween gifts. We carry YETI, men’s gifts, inspirational gifts, a vast selection of candles, self-care products, and so much more. We love helping our customers find the perfect gift or the perfect dress for their next occasion. We truly are a one-stop shop. Our mission is to be your go-to place because you know you will find it at Cactus Flower Boutique.

I could not have made it without the support of our community and my amazing crew. I have the most wonderful team of women that work with me, and I am so fortunate to have them by my side. My family has also been instrumental in keeping my dream alive. My husband has been a handy man, a technician, and so much more. My children have all been extremely supportive while also learning life lessons about hard work, dedication, and what it takes to succeed. It truly is a family business.

Plagens came up with the name, Cactus Flower, when she saw a drawing by her oldest daughter. The flower represents soft, feminine, floral, and lace while the cactus represents a more chic, urban, modern style. The myriad of products offered accurately represents the symbolic name.
